Eleven BiyOSeF members attended the 2015 Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics (FIP) Annual Meeting at Duke University. Dr. Brooke Hester and the following students all gave presentations: Evyn Lee, Alex Mandarino, Jacob Cole, and Sam Migirditch.

Dr. Jennifer Burris was just elected to the Advisory Board for the BRIDGES Academic Leadership Program. Her three year term will begin in February, 2015.

Dr. Brooke Hester has been appointed to the Editorial Advisory Committee for Optics & Photonics News for a three-year term beginning January 2015.

Dr. Jennifer Burris has been appointed to serve on the Editorial Board for The Physics Teacher (TPT) starting in February, 2015. TPT is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by AIP Publishing on behalf of the American Association of Physics Teachers.
