Six BiyOSeF students traveled to North Carolina State University in Raleigh to present posters at the State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium (SNCURCS) this year. The presenters were, Nathaniel Scott, Jeff Miller, Greg Rapp, Lucian Murray, Forrest Myers, and Jaydan Hush. Nathaniel Scott presented on Automation of a Laser Tweezers Raman Spectroscopy Apparatus for Biological Investigations. Jeff Miller presented on Determination of Elastic Modulus with Optical Tweezers. Greg Rapp presented Automation of Calibrated Temperature Determination of Optically Trapped Particles. Lucian Murray presented Measurements of Protein Binding via Fluorescence Spectroscopy. Forrest Myers presented Optical Trapping of Varying Numbers of Gold Nanoshells. Jaydan Hush presented An Introductory Raman Spectroscopy Instrument for Advanced Undergraduate Experimental Physics Laboratory. Great job everyone!
