Sam Migirditch was awarded a fellowship by the Fokos society of the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self Organization. The fellowship included three months working in Göttingen, Germany and a research presentation at the institute. He worked on using molecular dynamics simulations to verify a new theory of clustering in granular media.
